# Integrations

> Choose where to use Surfer outside the app: in your editor, your browser, your reports, your automations, or your own CMS.

Pick the tool you work in below to see what Surfer adds there, or connect Google's data about your site so Surfer's own tools run on it.

The writing tools put Surfer's guidelines panel beside your text. The panel shows the terms and structure drawn from the pages that rank for your keyword, and the score that grades your draft against them. Surfer keeps that set in a Content Editor, the document it builds around your target keywords.

The research and reporting tools take Surfer's data to where you work. Zapier automates Surfer from your Zaps. The embed library is for developers who want the guidelines panel inside their own CMS.

## Write where you work

Three tools show the guidelines panel beside your text, so you write and score your draft in the editor you already use.

> **[WordPress plugin](/integrations/wordpress/setup)**
>
> Write posts with Surfer's guidelines in the WordPress editor, research
> keywords there, and export finished articles from Surfer into WordPress.

> **[Surfer for Google Docs](/integrations/google-docs/setup)**
>
> This Chrome extension shows the guidelines panel beside a Google Doc while
> you write.

> **[Contentful](/integrations/contentful)**
>
> Use the guidelines panel in a Contentful entry's sidebar while you write in
> Contentful's editor.

## Research in your browser

Keyword Surfer is a separate Chrome extension from Surfer for Google Docs. It brings Surfer's data to Google results pages.

> **[Keyword Surfer](/integrations/keyword-surfer)**
>
> See search volumes and keyword ideas on Google results pages.

## Reporting

AI Tracker is Surfer's report on how AI answers mention your brand. Looker Studio reads its data.

> **[Looker Studio](/integrations/looker-studio/setup)**
>
> Chart your AI Tracker data in Looker Studio: how often AI answers mention
> each brand and which sources they cite, next to your other data sources.

## Automate

Zapier connects Surfer to the other apps in your Zaps.

> **[Zapier](/integrations/zapier)**
>
> Create Content Editors and AI articles from a Zap. Read an article's content
> and a Content Editor's structural guidelines into the rest of your workflow.

## Bring your data

Google Search Console is the only integration here that brings Google's data about your site into Surfer.

> **[Google Search Console](/integrations/google-search-console)**
>
> Connect a Google account so Surfer's tools for your site run on your own
> search data.

## Build for your CMS

Developers can host the same guidelines panel in a browser-based CMS editor with Surfer's JavaScript library.

> **[Embed Surfer guidelines](/integrations/embed/quickstart)**
>
> Your writers see the guidelines panel and its score beside the article,
> inside your own CMS editor.

Your AI assistant can [publish a finished Surfer document](/mcp/use-cases#tips) to a CMS through the CMS's own MCP server.

## Next steps

Select the guide for your tool. Each card receives a link when its guide is published.

* [Google Search Console](/integrations/google-search-console): connect a Google account and see which Surfer features use it.
* [Surfer MCP](/mcp/overview): use Surfer from an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT.
* [Surfer API](/api/overview): create and read Content Editors, generate articles, and manage templates from your own code.
