Connect your AI assistant to Surfer to write and optimize articles, work with live SEO guidelines and content scores, and explore your brand’s visibility in AI answers. Add Surfer’s hosted Model Context Protocol server at https://mcp.surferseo.com/mcp to your MCP client and sign in with your Surfer account. Connect with Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT on the web or desktop, Cursor, VS Code, or Codex. Other clients need Streamable HTTP and OAuth support; see Quickstart. Use the capabilities overview to see what your assistant can read and change. Skills guide complete workflows such as writing or optimizing an article. A workspace is a brand or site you manage in Surfer, with its own Search Console property, type, location, and state. Almost every tool takes one.

Requirements

  • A plan that includes MCP; Credits and limits lists them.
  • An MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP with OAuth. Setup per client is in Quickstart.
  • Your own Surfer account, with one organization chosen at sign-in. See Authentication.
Your connection is bound to your account and the chosen organization, across every tool; see What connecting grants.
